Eco-driving awareness 🚚

At Irbis Panthera, we pay particular attention to respecting the environment and wish to reduce our ecological impacts as much as possible. 

We have set up a driving monitoring system, which studies how our drivers handle braking, re-acceleration, waiting with the engine running (the engine shuts off) and overspeeding.

Indeed, every month thanks to a challenge that we call "Eco Driving Challenge" we follow the driving mode of each driver live, with a ranking, and a score given by our monitoring software. 

The software we use is actually the website of Michelin connected fleet  

Here are the different driving behaviour tools we use :

1. Real-time alert on driving behavior or incidents
2. Alerts and reports on engine operation, excessive speed, inertia, sudden braking...
3. Driver evaluation and ranking with performance scores and driver benchmarking
4. Identification of sudden braking and acceleration
5. Visibility of driver speeding
6. Visibility of tachograph violations
7. Driver identity for each vehicle
8. Buzzer in the cabin to alert drivers about their behavior in real time
9. Engine running shutdown identification
10. Driver report screens showing behavior scores for speeding, engine shutdown with trends and benchmarking, ranking with top 5 and bottom 5
    

This system aims to reduce our carbon footprint in order to improve our environmental impact, in a fun way, by including the entire team. 

Awareness campaigns are also set up every month, where concrete data is shared with employees, and we draw attention to the risks and dangers of non-compliance with the rules of conduct.. 

To help us in this process, when the driver is traveling at a speed higher than the authorized speed, the system integrated into his vehicle emits a buzzer. This buzzer also sounds when braking too suddenly or turning too sharply. 

It's an original way to have a little competitive spirit between each driver. Who will be at the top of the table next month ?
